Cooper’s Heating & Air has been involved in the community at different levels since inception. We have donated an air-conditioning system to Still Waters Women’s Shelter. We donate on a smaller basis to the Decatur County Breast Cancer Support Group and to support research, as well as giving to local volunteer fire departments, Kiwanis club, Lions club, Relay for Life, and The Friendship House (an after-school program for at-risk children).
For three years we have sponsored a Manna Food Drop partnering with the Food Bank of Southwest Georgia to distribute food to citizens of Decatur County which our own employees hand out. Our employees have volunteered to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. We have made cash donations to the Food Bank of Southwest Georgia, the Teresa D. Young Foundation (an organization that aids domestic abuse victims), local churches, and have helped host many charitable events. We have also sponsored the Grace Christian Academy sports program and used our media buys to promote their charitable causes on the radio, Facebook and throughout the community.
We pay dues for our team members at the Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis and Lion’s clubs. We have partnered with the local chapter of Workforce Investment Act (a federally funded program aimed at retraining our workforce and getting people back to work) and use their resources coupled with ours to bring people who are unemployed to work and train them for a trade. We are creating jobs in our community that will last and much of what we buy is local.
Cooper’s Heating and Air is committed to helping win the fight against breast cancer. Such an effort always begins with awareness. Check out a small example of our unique efforts!
